MnemeTherapy Testimonials

Below are listed testimonies given to me by my private clients. To see more testimonies from other MnemeTherapists, see documented testimonies.

"[My son, 8 years old,] has ADHD and KBG Syndrome. He was born with brain ventricle issues, heart & aorta artery conditions, and seizures. All three of which are thankfully no longer issues. The KBG Syndrome effects his bones (deformities), overall development, behavior and hearing, This, combined with ADHD, makes his behavior pretty challenging sometimes. During MnemeTherapy ... [my son] is very calm, solemn, reserved, and focused. Even if he only gets these sessions for about 30 minutes to an hour at a time, it's such a blessing to see him able to concentrate, and watch him enjoy what he is doing!"

"For [my daughter,] she has had huge emotional and behavioral changes. After every painting session, [my daughter] will sit on the couch and hang out, without prompting. This had never happened before so this was huge for us to experience [my daughter] actually wanting attention and interaction. She's also been using more words for her wants, like "tickle time," "hugs," and "chase." She's had improved concentration on all tasks, along with patience.

"My son, [21 years old,] was born with a rare brain malformation in which one lobe of his brain is abnormally enlarged and is totally abnormal in function. This condition causes a number of effects which include seizures, and physical, developmental, and intellectual delays to varying degrees.

A number of years ago at school, [my son] was selected to be a demonstration subject for a MnemeTherapy student during her final exam for certification. The demonstration took place in a room that was filled with teachers and assistants who observed as part of staff development, and I was invited to also observe. I had never heard of MnemeTherapy and had no idea what to expect.

[My son] was distracted at first by the many people watching, but the MnemeTherapist was able to capture his attention and call him to focus. She began by asking his to sing a simple song while performing a number of cross-body movements. [My son] was all over the place with awkward movements that lacked any synchronization.

She showed him a notebook with pictures of objects like flowers and assorted landscapes, and asked [my son] to choose one. He selected a landscape with a body of water, shoreline, and trees in the background. She put paper and paint brushes before him and began to apply dollops of paint to the page. She demonstrated by painting a few strokes, then guiding his hand to make the strokes, and finally allowed him to continue on his own.

As she helped him progress through the various kinds of brushstrokes needed to achieve the effects for sky, water, waves, sand, and trees, he visibly grew more confident. The finished product was amazing, but what happened next absolutely left me stunned.

She put away the paints and finished the session by once again taking him through the same routine of singing while performing cross-body motions that he had done with so much difficulty in the beginning. The difference in his ability was astonishing, and I realized something profound had taken place in his brain. The undeniable improvement in his ability to sing while completing actions demonstrated the improved ability of various parts of his brain to coordinate physical responses. Even the clarity of his speech improved for a time following the exercise."

"For [my son,] there has been such a huge improvement in his emotional regulation, that we haven't had a bad behavior report from school in so long, as he so looks forward to MnemeTherapy. He is able to regulate his emotions by breathing in and counting out his frustrations. So many great things have happened since starting MnemeTherapy that we can't wait to see what the future hold. The paintings on our walls are also a nice perk that my kids love to show off."

This same mother later went on to tell me that her son is now able to play videogames for the first time in his life, since receiving a few months of regular MnemeTherapy. His hand-eye coordination seems to have totally changed.

After only the first session I had with a young girl who has Autism, her mother sent me a text message saying, "Oh my goodness, [my daughter's] attitude at the dinner table tonight is au-some! She's so much more calm and not screaming. I love it! Can't wait until next week."
